A Shared Vision, Brought to Life
At Jia CURATED 2026, Lintang Pavilion emerged from a shared vision between Studio Hendro Hadinata and Studio Aliri — bringing together architecture, material, and cultural references in a space designed to be experienced and carried forward beyond the exhibition.
Set against the coastal landscape of Pengembak Beach, Sanur, Lintang draws from Indonesia’s maritime heritage, reimagining the familiar image of a house through the form of a vessel. Its name, Lintang, references the stars once used by Indonesian fishermen as a guide across the sea.
Jia CURATED provided the setting for this vision to unfold, bringing together designers, makers, and creative practices in a shared exploration of contemporary Indonesian design.
Wood, from Surface to Structure
Throughout Jia CURATED, Lintang became an active space for conversations, gatherings, and everyday encounters. Its open structure allowed the pavilion to shift naturally with the rhythm of the day, bringing architecture, material, people, and activity together as one experience.
Wood extended across both the experience and framework of the pavilion. Engineered wood flooring shaped its tactile surfaces, while S-LVL formed part of its primary structural system — demonstrating how engineered timber can contribute to both the spatial experience and architectural framework.
As Building Partner, TEKA contributed to this shared vision through wood, connecting material character with the architecture of the pavilion.
Beyond the Temporary
Lintang was conceived with a purpose beyond its time at Jia CURATED. After the exhibition, the pavilion continues into a new setting, carrying its architecture and purpose into another chapter.
